Rochester’s first all-women, flat-track, roller derby league represents women
from across the spectrum and are proud of it. From girlie-girls to tom-boys; loud-mouthed
firecrackers to reserved tough girls. We enjoy lifelong athletes and women who’ve
never touched a sport in their lives; spirited 21-year-olds all the way to a precious
few seasoned rollergirls in their 40s... we're your girlfriends, sisters, and mothers
taking things into our own hands. We formed the league in February of 2008. We strive
to meet the strict athletic standards of the Women's Flat Track Derby Association
(WFTDA). RCRD is skater-owned and skater-operated, and currently boasts a group
of approximately 60 hard-rollin fast-skatin’ women. We're training our bodies
and our minds — our skaters run administration, marketing, finances and all
other aspects of our league.
