Dr. Sarah Doom, 4.0 Travel Team Coach, Founder Providence Roller Derby, Retired from Boston Derby Dames, 2006-2008 Practice like you bout. Bout like you mean it.
She teaches us to "take it one jam at a time." Dr. Doom blessed us with her level-headed approach and unique brand of torture tactics in February of 2009. Hailing from Bolton, Massachusetts—via Providence, Rhode Island, Tucson, Arizona, and Cambridge, Massachusetts.
The "hot chicks kicking ass in amazing outfits" may have brought her to the Tuscan Roller Derby back in 2004, but the fast-skating, challenge of intense competition, and awesome community she gets to meet all over the country is definitely what kept her coming back. She founded Providence
Roller Derby and skated in their first season—which included the
first-ever roller derby tournament, the Dustdevil on February, 2006 in
Tucson, Arizona.
When she's not watching us grow and get awesome, you can find her studying the evolution of selfish genes in fruit flies, as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Rochester.
Note: Beware wimps and lazy people, Dr. Doom will not stand for you.
